Prior to any strength or power training, it is important to include some type of tissue quality work (we use foam rollers), stretching to help correct muscle imbalances, activation to turn on certain muscles, and a good movement prep session to increase joint mobility and stability as well as to prepare the body for what movements are to come. This workout was 40 minutes long with the first 10 minutes of it being the tissue quality, stretching, activation and movement prep. The stregth and power training was done using a tri-set and a pair set in order to get more work done in the amount of time as well as to increase the metabolic effect.
